Hello everyone, I started this thread while seeking out various information about Arizona. (Also posted this on another thread)So due to some major transitioning happening in my life and am entering a new phase. I also am considering Arizona(Phoenix or Tucson), moving from the south, from Atlanta area, Georgia. Originally from Southern California(San Diego and surrounding), but have been a Georgia resident for more than 15yrs. My youngest daughter just moved to Denver with her dad. Arizona is less than a day away, cheaper to fly from, just overall seems the best option for me. I've already visited Denver and it is lovely, yet I only go during the warmer seasons. But I am NOT a big fan of ice, snow, bi-polar and bone deep cold weather,(hate it) which is usually the case in the South the last several years. Hot weather is more my climate to function in. I have lived all around and in Atlanta, visited almost every major city up and down the east coast including Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. So I can truly say I am ready to get the heck out this side of the country.
I have always desired to move back west. Now this is a must in order to be closer to my daughter along with the majority of my relatives that are located in the west, southwest and mid-west parts of the country. So thus far comparing Nevada, Utah, New Mexico...well, Arizona is where I'm leaning more to be. My other family members will soon join us there.
Don't know just where I ought to park it yet. Tuscon, Prescott, Sedona, Phoenix, ect.?
Some of my questions are:
Public Transportation?? how accessible is it in any of the major cities? what about best options to purchase a car, where? Where are the best areas to live and work in? My background is warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, clerical, and administrative support. I am also a full time student, so I will be transferring. Employment diversity, what areas offer varied options? What is the best route to go as far as job seeking out there? Employment staffing agencies, career centers, networking events, job fairs, ect.? What are the better elementary, technical and community colleges? Socializing, night life and fun things to do especially for singles and couples?

If these questions have already been addressed in the Arizona forum please kindly let me know the links where to locate.

Thanks
