I've been here for almost a year now and it's like Bullhead's starting to get bad again. I mean "bad" as in really flaky people with the "you owe me" tude are growing in numbers. It seemed to change about in March.

Mesas like as in Ft Mohave Mesa? That ain't good because that's a nice Smiths. Why I'm asking is that sort of crap would be more likely IMHO at the Smiths on Hancock.

Was this like a homeless guy, or just someone totally stressed out? I got mad at Smith's today myself and went on a rant - the ($#&)#$&Y took all my gas points over 200 - AGAIN! That's like $6 off a tank of gas! If I didn't have better things to do (like rant on here... LOL) I'd organize a boycott and suggest everyone shop at Safeway! Grrrr!

We've had ongoing vandalism at our business. Last year had windows broken out, I keep finding needles in our trash area. More recently someone shot out one of our floodlights with a pellet gun. That had to be from one particular house, since I doubt kids with a pellet rifle would be wandering the area without attracting attention. I think the PD made their point to them. We used to have solar floodlights lighting some of our plants, but two got stolen and one of the "night walkers" kicked the others out into the street where cars ran them over. I mean you have to be pretty stoned or sick in the head to climb clear up into landscaping and kick the lights for no reason.

The problem is there's a lot of community apathy toward cleaning up blighted areas and the City has little money. The PD is doing the best they can to ride herd on the zombies. The good thing is there is very little "real" crime. Mostly just shoplifters, domestic violence and minor drug zombies. I've been seeing more "banger" types. Saw some guy today wearing the typical baggy t shirt and baggy knickerbockers - with tattoos clear up his face. Scary, but probably harmless.

The best thing you can do is report any crime you see. The PD and Sheriff will take action. Code Enforcement will follow up on blight complaints. If we could get the city cleaned up the rest will tend to fall into place. You don't see Sedona's streets falling apart at the seams.
