Hello Everyone: I am coming to Phoenix and Tucson for 3 weeks in December and need help with the following 4 items for both Tucson & Phoenix:

1) Good Dry Cleaner -for my nice clothes

2) Internet Cafe since I will not have a PC with me

3) Coin operated Laundry Mate

4) Must see things while in each city and their surroundings area

PS Regarding the weather, will I be ok with a sports jacket?

Thanks!!!

Id suggest you post these questions in the individual city boards.

I can tell you that Internet café's that have computers available to the public are few and far between. Most people will go to the library if they do not have their own computer.

Phoenix location:

Internet Café none in Phx, however you can use the Paradise Bakery (free) wifi at 7th St & Bell Rd, also the McDonalds on the other side of the Bell Rd & 7th Street will have free wifi. Your hotel Red Roof Inn should have a pc for your use. Otherwise the only place nearby is a library at 19th Ave & Union Hill.

Bell Road Laundry
1536 West Bell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85023

Zest Dry Cleaners
2340 W Bell Rd # 108, Phoenix, AZ 85023-3206
(602) 439-5700 ‎

Weather - sports jacket will be ok for most days in Phx.

What "things" do you want or like to see and do?????

I prefer posting on individual city boards but in the past my posts have been deleted by moderators with the message that it violated the cross posting rules.

Things that I like include seeing the desert without much walking and seeing sculptures, and a place to photograph sunsets

You can enjoy a little desert with some views and short to long hiking at the North Mountain Visitor Center on 7th Street just south of Thunderbird Rd. It is across from the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. There are several different trails in the park with a variety of trails that require “easy to hike” to the “more difficult” and challenging ones. This isn’t too far from where you are staying in Phoenix.

Another good place for desert views and seeing some sculptures & art work would be in Carefree north of Phoenix/Scottsdale. Lots of tourist shops and artwork in the town center.

Scupltures,,,,,,? I would think you’d find more of this in the Old Town Scottsdale area. Notice I said “old town” which is Scottsdale Rd & Indian School Rd area. There are many tourist shops with sculptures and the city of Scottsdale provides some as well.

While in Tucson you MUST go to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. This is a wonderful place to take the camera and enjoy the entire day outside with desert views (sunset included) and seeing the native animals and plants.

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

ASDM Exhibits

You will not be disappointed and you should plan on using the entire day at this location. It’s a short drive west of the Tucson city area.
