Coming from the east coast, what's the best way to get to Lake Havasu? The only thing I could find online was having to fly into Las Vegas and then driving two hours. Is that seriously the easiest way to get there if I'm not getting my own private flight into the HII airport?

Yep, flying into Las Vegas is your best bet.

Yes, but there are no commercial passenger flights to speak of. There used to be one or two flights a day to Phoenix which they discontinued. They may have resurrected them recently, I'm not sure as they've changed it any number of times. But I'd never recommend it based on my one experience taking it. It was the worst "airline" experience in my life. If you bring your own plane, then no problem.

Flying into Vegas is your best bet - 2.5 hr drive. If you are intent on flying into a closer city Great Lakes does go into Kingman - 1hr drive - Great Lakes Airlines. I've also heard of some people being able to latch onto a Sun Country flight chartered by one of the Laughlin casinos that flys into Bullhead City Sun Country Airlines – The Hometown Airline.

There used to be commercial flights into Havasu, but those are also gone. I have the same unhappy memories of commercial flights to Kingman as kdog does.

That's an improvement over what Kingman has to offer.

Like the other poster said, Las Vegas is the closest and will have the best deals on rental cars also.
There was commercial service into Havasu until a few years ago. When the airport was still on the 'Island' there was a locally owned commuter airline from the early 70's to the late 90's. This picture was a poster made for promotional purposes.
