I'll second that - let's bring back the car hopping burger joint with frozen mugs of root beer!

Tuesday is stock up on Mug day. Must look for some heavy glass with handles mugs like they used back in the day to serve it out of. Frosted of course.

I was just getting ready (or fixin') to post how much I would love a root beer float right about now. I have not had one in ages. They bring back the days of a wonderful childhood.

Great idea. If I can't find real glass mugs at The Big Box store I'll beg from a bar to buy some of theirs. To risky to order glass online. I'm sure the Mugs want care where the Mug comes from.

I love A & W, and MUG.

True story ... when I was in HS the very first job I ever had was working at A & W. The boss woman told me real fast (1st day there) how to make the root beer. Then she left and someone was supposed to come in (another manager) but never showed up.

I'd been working there all of maybe 3 hours, I was 17, and had NO clue what I was doing. I tried to make the root beer because the vat in the back was empty. Oh man, did I ever screw that one up.

Stuff foamed everywhere ... it went on the floor, under the door of the vat room, and headed out to the counter. I swear, it looked like an "I Love Lucy" scene.

Shortest job I ever had. LOL.
