Hey, I bought some yummy eggnog, but I don't know how many parts rum (or any other alcohol to mix in).

HELP!?

Is it a one to one ratio...one to 1/4th? To taste?

Rih ron't row, Shaggy!

Thanks!

I do it to taste. Individually.

Considerably more eggnog than alcohol for me, probably a shot or two for a glass of eggnog.

I do it to taste also. Short rocks glass, fill with ice, about a fourth of the glass with Rum, then eggnog. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Yummmmm

Ok, now how do you keep it from just tasting like Bailey's Irish Cream?

I did the rum with the eggnog - tasted good, but tasted like Bailey's.

My dad always used bourbon but I prefer a good rye whiskey. Wild Turkey makes an excellent rye. To make it extra rich get out the blender & mix 1 part eggnog to 1 part good vanilla ice cream. Add liquor and nutmeg to taste. We do about 1 1/4 oz whiskey per 6 oz glass. I promise that this recipe wll not taste like Bailey's.

Well, I don't have a recipe to share, but I sure do love store-bought egg nog with rum at about one part in ten. Unfortunately I am a diabetic and the sugar in the egg nog is not good for me, so I reluctantly stopped buying egg nog. I don't know of any drink which is so satisfying as to its taste, and I deeply regret that I can no longer enjoy egg nog and rum.
