Never had this but I did take a sip of tonic water by itself and I did not like it. I do like Vodka and sprite.

Tonic water by itself is not drinkable by most people. It's meant to be a mixer. It goes great with so many ingredients, but by itself...

I don't like gin and I don't like tonic, either, so I would probably search online for a hand sanitizer recipe.

At least he could use Worcestershire in a bloody Mary or on a steak. What would you use Bitters for besides G&T?

Bitters are an essential part of a Manhattan and an Old-Fashioned, both of which are on my regular rotation. Probably many more drinks also, but I'm most familiar with those two.

"Tonic water by itself is not drinkable by most people. It's meant to be a mixer."....most people I suppose, but since I've given up alcohol consumption, Tonic is my go to summer quencher....I'll bet I have 20, 2 liter bottles on the shelf in the basement.

And no, I did not try my G&T with Worcestershire....had a good laugh tho'.

Regards

I mix one part gin to two parts tonic. Regular tonic water is just too sweet for me so I tried something a bit more expensive but drier - Q. Then I might squeeze half a fresh lemon or lime. The other day all I had was frozen orange mango concentrate so stirred in a spoonful. Very tasty!

Perhaps my improvising is blasphemy to hard core drinkers!

You're right about regular tonic - rammed with sugar.
I use Schweppes slimline tonic or Feavertree Light which comes with fewer calories.
I rarely add anything to a G&T but if I do a sliced strawberry or a cinammon pod give it a taste for variety.

Finished my bottle of Beefeater gin. Very good, I loved the smell. Reminded me of a man's refreshing aftershave. Probably won't be buying any more booze for a while because it's so expensive.
