Made in Port Rico, by Bacardi.

A high proof rum, with great flavours, goes down really swell.

A big seller in Nassau, of course.

Can't get it in Canada, not exported up here.

How about Bacardi's 151 overproof rum? It really IS 151 proof.

Any body had that ?

It is sold here in Ontario, but quite expensive at about $44 a bottle.

Jim B

Toronto.

Nassau Royale IS NOT A RUM !!!!! It is a liqueur,..but what a liqueur ! Mild fruity flavor with a hint of vanilla. The best I have ever tasted. At one time I thought Espiritu Del Equador was the best,..until I tasted Nassau Royale. Just about every liquor store in the Florida Keys sells it, but elsewhere not so available.

Actually, it's a low proof (67 pf) rum based liqueur with vanilla, very sweet.

Bacardi 151 is a very high proof rum, yes, 151 proof, what used to be called "cask-strength." It's almost exclusively used in high strength cocktails, like Mai Tais and Zombies, but at 75.5% alcohol it is highly flammable, so it is also featured in various flaming drinks and desserts. It's also popular with fire-eaters and similar entertainers, and various voodoo and shamanistic rituals.
