You did well. The Old Weller Antique is excellent, the baby Saz is also very good, and Henry McKenna would be allocated if everyone knew how good it is. The Weller Special Reserve is a good, everyday pour. I am really surprised you were able to find the Antique in the wild. It has become very scarce.
The OWA and McKenna were both last bottles on the shelf at a hole-in-the wall place near where we were staying. Almost also pulled the trigger on a Stagg barrel proof as well but decided to limit myself. lol

He was at a Wild Turkey promotion at Jungle Jim's in Fairfield, Ohio. He autographed bottles and Jungle Jim's engraved the bottles.
The Master's Keep Decades is a fine Bourbon, but I still like Master's Keep Batch #1 a little better
While waiting for my bottles to be engraved, I had a chance to talk to Jimmy for 5 minutes. I asked him, in his opinion, what is the best age of bourbons today. He said that nothing beats 8 to 12 years in the barrell
I've met him a couple of times at Chicago's whiskey fest. He's a real nice fellow. He turned me on to the Russell Reserve single barrel. A great, balanced bourbon.

When we toured WT, it was Eddie's son that gave us the tour. He is almost as knowledgeable and Jimmy said he is being groomed to eventually become the Master Distiller
This is a very interesting article. I own several very expensive bourbons, but will never buy in the secondary (black) market. These prices are obscene!
The black market is being driven bo people with more money than brains. I hold nothing against them, it's their money to do with what they want,
My complaint is that not the legitimate distillers and stores are raising the price, just because they can. I know that Bookers was going to double price, but resistance from market is forcing them to do it slower over time.
