I'm thinking about getting a Heineken mini-keg to have on hand for company, etc. Since it's getting cooler out and eventually cold, would it be ok to keep it on the deck? Would this affect the freshness, taste? Thanks!
It all depends on the weather that day, Gil. I'd say that if it's 40 degrees out, or less, it's fine and dandy. How fast you drink it is another factor. How small is the "mini keg"? I see little Heineken kegs in the local supermarket that are rather small - if you mean one of those kegs then you could always put it in a 5 gallon bucket and dump a bag of ice in it -- and put a few towels over the top of it -- and keep it out of the sunshine. Either way, you'll have a great time! Just keep it at 40 degrees or less.

Thanks, Rainrossty. Yes, those little kegs you can get 5 or 6 pints from. I believe they are about 20 bucks. I will definitely try the bucket trick. Thanks again.
