It wasn't meant to be funny and not to worrry, it wasn't intended for you, unless you're working for Miss Chloe's psychic network and spewing out comments about parasites.

Agreed that alcohol can fuel your body (contains calories), therefore, is a food.

Who cares that it is age restricted. The government could start age restricting bananas, but they would still be a food.

I still agree that alcohol should not be allowed to be bought with food stamps.

Yes, it's a food. It's just not a healthy food.

In my experience, alcohol has done more to fuel absolute foolishness and inane activities than any other substance. One or two drinks is a way to relax, 8 or 10 is liquid stupidity.

Alcohol is NOT a food. Here is the truth. It is a drink just like soda therefore it SHOULD be able to be purchased with food stamps. Since it isn't, I think all sodas and other sugary drinks should also be banned from being bought with food stamps. Any diet soda with aspartame is much more dangerous than alcohol so this is not right.

They could, but they wouldn't because it (the banana) IS a food. Alcohol is a drug.

Hmm, someone mentioned caffeinated drinks--maybe they should require an ID on those too. "Sorry, you're not 21, you can't get that latte."

I cook with it all the time. But I'd have to say no, it's not a food. It has no nutritional value, except to forget about you have no money

I don't consider alcohol a food. I know you can buy soda with foodstamps and I don't consider that food either.
