With the recent transit discussions here, I decided to do a poll on what are your favorite buses in the ABQ RIDE fleet.

My favorite would be the 6900-series Rapid Ride New Flyer DE60LFR buses. They have a nice interior, are quiet, and run quite well.

I can't remember anyone in this forum other than yukon
saying that they have ever ridden a bus other than me.

People talk about it a lot, but almost no one ever does
because of the extra time and inconvenience.

I ride the bus regularly and don't know the difference
between the listed carriages so I can't vote.

I ride the bus all the time too. I would say that my personal favorite buses would be either the 700 or 900 series buses. There are fairly quiet, comfortable, and run well.

I ride the bus fairly regularly too, but I don't think I've ridden that many different buses to compare, nor do I think I would notice the differences. All the Rapid Ride buses I've been on seem nice.

I've done my share of bus-riding over the years, if you had asked me I would have only been able to identify three or four different styles. The Rapid Rides I've been on all seemed the same. Thanks for posting the pics, I will be paying more attention! I'm usually busy inventorying neck tattoos or eavesdropping conversations about jail and parole officers to notice the bus details.

Out of the Rapid Ride buses, the 6900s are the ones that really stand out, as they have smoother front and rear ends, as well as a smaller roof cap on the rear section for the batteries. Also, the 6900s have LED interior lighting, stainless steel seats, and a video monitor playing a DVD with advertisements and trivia.

That is 6402, one of the 6400-series Rapid Ride buses. The way to tell the 6400-series and the 6600-series apart is by the side windows. The 6400-series have sliding side windows, while the 6600-series have tip-in side windows.

Thanks for the pics, now I can go vote!

The really long bus - last pic before the Rapid Rides - is that the one that has the most seating? There's one bus body with continuous (almost double the length) row of under the window seats up front, before the standard perpendicular row seating starts. Don't care for that one.
