I'm looking for an excellent map with will show detailed roads, trails and national/state/public/private boundaries, plus gps coordinates and elevation.

Is there one out there for Cibola and the Jemez Springs? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Holman's
REI

You used to be able to use topozone.com, but trails.com
bought them out and then removed the wonderful topozone GUI
with the inferior trails.com GUI.

I'd pay for a membership if they would bring back the topozone GUI.
I used to be a paying member of that service. You *can* get the
maps from trails, but it is tedious.

google maps, [terrain] view can give you an idea of an area, but
it is not quite a USGS topo map.

The Roads of New Mexico Atlas is $20 and has the whole state. The other option is Ebay...find one of the topo software programs.

You can get really nice detailed maps at the forest service office. Also you can get quadrent maps at the BLM office.

I just logged on to trails.com and found that their map interface
has improved from the old one. You can view a decent-sized
map and download it for use while hiking/driving in an area.

It's still not as good as the old topozone.com interface, but I'll
pay the $49.95 for continuous access to topo maps of the 50
states.

They have a free trial membership, so you might want to log in
and see if what they serve up is worth it to you.

Again, USGS topos are simply amazing. You can see mining claims,
springs, intermittent springs, ghost town buildings and so on.
trails.com has a shaded relief option which helps you visualize
the terrain pretty well. This was an old topozone feature.
