If I lived in the Taylor Ranch area would Rust be the place to go? Also aren't most/many specialists in the downtown/UNM area?
It'd all depend on what you were up against, but Rust has gotten pretty big. And truth be told, specialists can be found smattered throughout the city.
Cancer, trauma center, mental health emergency, you're probably looking at UNMH.
Knee or hip replacements, probably Pres Main.
Other specialists, it's a crap shoot.

Good luck with quality medical care in the ABQ area . In the three years that I lived there quality medical care from the fore mentioned medical facilities was like chasing a ghost. Due to the fact they don’t pay well there so the Doctors don’t stay around very long. So quality care is spotty at best.
One thing I would like to point out is that there is actually a very good range of alternative health care available here. We comparable favorably to some much more heavily populated states in that respect.
Of course, not everybody wants to go that route, and most of us who do make use of alternative health care generally don't expect to use it for every health concern.
