Hi everyone-

Just wondering what people think about Corrales? Is it possible to rent there?

Thanks!
Becca

I never heard anything about renting in Corrales, its more of the expensive type of town, it looks like a old spanish village with adobe houses, something you would see in Northern New Mexico except a few miles from Albq.

I have to agree with Councilor, I don't ever recall anything for rent in Corrales. Corrales is an old farming and equestrian community with expensive homes sprinkled here and there.

There is a large apartment complex at the intersection of Alameda and Corrales road however.

You may want to try the Coors bypass and NM528 intersection area ( locals call it the "the hill" ) - lots of apartments. Also, right down the road from the Cottonwood mall. Plenty of shopping and restaurants galore.

I have seen mobile homes for rent to the west of corrales. Sometimes even a real home but they tend to be very expensive.

Default Corrales

So as the questions continue to flow, heres mine. I was looking at moving up to the NW about ten minutes from Corrales. Is this a nice area? Any good or bad would help, thanks.

Are we talking out near 550?

It's kind of... out there.

I'm sure someone will respond with first-hand experience.

Corrales offers a green lushness to the otherwise arid landscape of ABQ, as it sits along the Rio Grande. A quaint community and last time I looked, you need big bucks to buy property there. I'd love to live in Corrales.

Are you looking to move northwest of Corrales toward Bernalillo, or southwest of Corrales around Taylor Ranch/Northwest Heights? There's a bit of a difference. The first area is the edge of the known world, lots of "cookie cutter" developments, though Bernalillo is coming along as a town to live near. The second area is more varied -- lots of Midwest-style brick homes in Taylor Ranch, many custom homes scattered throughout the NW Heights, closer to other parts of town, and great views!

Tell us more.

I'm talking about south of Corrales in the NW Heights.
