Go here for a Honda Care Extended Warranty: Honda Care Vehicle Service Contract from Saccucci Honda

Then click on the plan finder link.

There was a big lawsuit back in 2008 where Honda Corp sued this dealership to get them to stop selling the Honda extended warranty online at dealer cost because Honda claimed that Saccucci Honda was hurting Honda's good name by selling warranties online. But the real reason was that other dealerships were very upset that they were losing profits they make by selling the warranty at higher prices. Saccucci won the lawsuit. They just can't sell online in Florida and California, but I suppose anyone in those states could call them and still buy the warranty and sign the papers via Fed Ex or fax.

Looks like the warranty price may be higher once you've put over 6k miles on your vehicle.

Have to agree with NMHacker. Saved alot recently by purchasing through phone calls and email. I don't like the haggling process, so it was much easier to do that way. If you're buying new and know exactly what you want, just inform all of the dealers you're going to purchase a model X in silver today by say 3 o'clock with cash. That will put a little bit of heat on them to give you a decent price in a timely manner. My best offer ended up being out of state, so I made the trek and saved a good amount. There was wide range of prices and a difference of about 3k from the highest to lowest price.

Buying with "cash" is a negative and may get you higher quotes because they'll know that they have no chance of making money on the back-end through the finance office. When they ask if you are financing, just say, "I'm not sure." However, it would be good to ask how much the extended warranty is. Then they'll think that even if they cut you a tight deal on their end, they may make some of it back with warranty profit. Don't say you are paying cash until you are ready to sign.

Agreed... Financing, "added on" accessories and extended warranties can bring in more profits than sale of the vehicle by itself.

I've worked in a car lot. I've had family members whose careers were car sales and boat sales.
