that does Chinese interpreting to English?
well, I need a company that can have my document interpreted and stamped. otherwise, I can just find some students... Thanks a lot for input.
I searched online, seemed to be plenty of Spanish language to English , but not from Chinese to English
Using students is fine. It would probably be a good way
for some foreign students to get some spending cash.
However, based on what I have seen with Asian language
translation into English; (not limited to Asian, BTW), make sure
to _take_a_second_step_ and get a professional secretarial
service with native English speakers make the final product.
I've seen some official English communications come off
really badly with the Chinese-to-English performed by
non-fluent translators.
By fluent, I mean able to read/write nuance, get jokes,
sarcasm, etc. Not just high-level communicative.
Native is even better than fluent.
I let my fingers do the walking through the Albuquerque Yellow Pages, and none of the "local" Translators listed Chinese as one of their featured languages. Sorry. There was one ad for a company in "all languages" but it had an 800 number, so it's probably in your local yellow pages also.
One option is to call the local hospitals. They have interpreters for just about every language you can think on call. Even if their folks can't do what you want, they might know someone who can. Might check the phone book listings for a law firm that does work for Chinese speaking residents, some firms list what languages they've worked in.
Have you tried contacting anyone from the ABQ area Chinese ex-pat. community? They've usually got a pretty extensive network of contacts.
Another thing you might try is to search in places like Los Angleles,
San Jose, Portland, and Seattle. I presume you could email or
snailmail your documents and get back something via the same
method.
If you really need face-to-face in Albuquerque, then UNM or
Central New Mexico Community College (formerly TVI) is going
to be a good bet for you.
i use to work for a translation company called translations. they have alot of locations worldwide so maybe they will have one in your area. you should check it out. hope that helped a bit.
