Thanks! And I totally get that it's the sort of place that some people wouldn't be able to stand. I think I've got a reasonably good idea of what to expect though, and it sounds like the kind of place I'd enjoy. I'm used to a lot of rain already, and I actually like overcast days (some of the best weather I've seen all year was 60F, overcast and misting in the Appalachians over Labor Day). Nothing turns green without rain, anyways. And I'm definitely in need of some small-town rehabilitation after living in the city for six years - I've been really homesick for the little blue-collar town I grew up in lately. I love how the central part of town is laid out, and from my friend's house you can walk or bike just about anywhere you'd want to go. I'm sure both the weather and the end-of-the-road thing can get to you after a while, but it'll be a really nice change from down here and it's not that long a drive to get inland and away from the clouds.
