warpt, I'm curious - did you up the contrast on the photo here or is my monitor screwy? And yeah, one of my husband's colleagues was talking about ice driving (they already did it) and are a Bethel newbie... scary stuff. I told them you don't want to be the first one out there - we always wait a couple of weeks, weather allowing, after the first people are out there! (I'm talking car/truck/etc. not snowmobiles)

I had the settings for shooting planes. Didn't bother changing them for stills. Might be the pictures....

I use kusko.net or wunderground for the sunrise/sunset.

Nice to see snow this morning. With the snow we have winds, had a tail wind going to work. Rode the bike right down the middle of the highway due to snow on the walking/biking path.

oh, it is nice... I'm hoping the temp goes up enough to get the kids out with sleds and have some fun in it!!! I am very happy to see the snow... I wish we'd gotten more of a "blizzard" though.

Looking forward to a snowy holiday week (fingers crossed)

TeamC - I also use wunderground for stats like you are mentioning.

Hey warptman whats going on out in Bethel right now with the alcohol situation? Is the town still wet and did they open any places to buy/serve alcohol? I talked to a couple guys in the tower out there last week and they told me the air traffic has picked up immensely again. I was curious as to weather the town being wet now had anything to do with it.

The ABC board is taking applications now for liquor sales. Most of the restaurants have applied for a license to serve and the AC store has applied for a license to sell. Everything must go through the city council on the sales part. The alcoholics wanted to remove the "damp" status so they can order as much as they want, which they are doing now. I'm not sure if the increased traffic is due to this, I'm sure it has something to do with the river being in the process of freezing up and no way to get here.
