I have been offered a job with the State of Alaska and I am now in New York. It looks like a great job and I am very excited about Juneau but I don't know if I can make the move in just one month. I could use some advice from anyone here on whether it would be acceptable to negotiate for more time, such as Jan. 1? Has anyone here had an similiar experience, and how much time were you given to move? Thanks.
One thing to consider is that the legislature starts up then and housing may be more of a problem then. It might be better to get here earlier.
