I was looking at property in Edna Bay which the realty agent described as "road access from other towns". Is Edna Bay connected via roads to Prince of Wales Island? I looked at several maps and it appears to not be connected.

No road access to POW...there's one other small -- and I do mean small -- community near Edna Bay. People get out there by skiff and keep a vehicle on POW.

You are correct. Edna Bay is on Kosciusko Island, which has no bridges to any other islands - so, no road access from other islands. Out here in Edna Bay we are glad of that, we don't want persons just randomly driving onto the island who don't live here, don't have family or friends here, or don't have legitimate business here - helps keep the riff-raff out that you get in other SE communities that are road connected. Edna Bay is a "nice" town with decent and friendly people. We don't have the drunks and druggies that plague other SE communities. Crime here is virtually non-existent. These are the advantages to being "disconnected" from the larger road system.

That small town was Cape Pole. The ghost town that used to be Cape Pole is now within the city limits of Edna Bay. Cape Pole is no more, nobody lives there, it's part of history now.

I lived at Cape Pole with Tyler Bros. Logging in 1983. As a kid there were so many great places to play!
