What's really funny is that it ended at my outhouse. Wish I would have realized this when I was taking the picture, I would have set it up better.

Archangel Valley Rd. is open for the summer. About 1:30pm today it opened.

Love them flowers. I've never been up that road. Is it a dead end thing or a loop? I'd like to take Hannah and her Mom back in there.

The road is a dead end after quite a few miles. The views are amazing though. The road get a little rough with lots of large rocks and washouts after the parking area for Read Lakes Trail. If you drive careful though just about any car or truck can make up all the way to the old Talkeetna Gold Mine. From the dead end you can walk for about an hour or so through meadows and waterfalls up to Lane Hut then up the mountain side to a glacier that people ski on year around. Really cool area.

Here's a shot of the road past Archangel Creek and the parking area for Reed Lakes Trail.
