I miss at least summer, but this one was taken during the Fall

This one, too. This owl was circling around me during moose season. What it was trying to do was to spot birds and rodents' movement as I scared them by walking around. Very smart creature

That owl would get as far as 10" away from me sometimes, but I hardly had any time to prepare to take the shot. Finally i anticipate which way she was going to fly over me, and got lucky.

Thought I'd add some pictures we've taken here and there.

This is at the Kasilof General Store. The swing is oversized and great for pictures.

This is at the Soldotna airport. I love the old style of the plane.

------------------------------------------

This place is just between Soldotna and Sterling. It's called Alaskan Carousel Carvings and is a great roadside attraction to get pictures at. There is a Jewelry store and an ice cream cone shaped coffee shop in the same parking lot. They have tons of great carvings to climb up or take pictures with, these photo's are just a couple of the attractions.

Hand carved carousel for just $1 a ride.

Guests are welcome to "saddle up".

-----------------------------------------

Somebody's homemade truck we spotted in Soldotna. The front end is some type of Chevy, the middle is a semi sleeper, and I *think* the back end is a dodge? The neighbor said it actually runs and drives! haha

-------------------------
I left the pictures big on this one so you can see all the stuff this guy has got up on his shop roofs. I spotted this place between Soldotna and Sterling while out running around. Definitely creative!

I would just die to have that old time airplane for our kids all the way to the right.

Crazy enough he's actually got a couple of cars up there in the back of the roof on the shed to the left. I *think* their vehicles from the 40's or 50's.

---------------------------

This is the Diamond M Ranch. It's in Kenai. It's a bed & breakfast with several cabins, and apartments you can rent out by the night. This is their main building with themed apartments. They weren't quite finished with the details both in and outside when we took this picture.

The double decker bus they leave open for exploration.

----------------------------------------

I'll post more in a bit
