What in the world is that suppose to mean? Their "Hot" or really "Ugly"?
I have no idea. My IQ is lower than my standards, and my standards are lower than a snakes belly in wagon rut.

It isn't a big issue to help those that really need it, but the State of Alaska and the Federal Government have made it so easy giving aid to those that are fully able to take care of themselves, and now you can't tell the difference between those that need and just lazy. You have an entire voting block voting for the guy that gives them the most free stuff. That money isn't free, it comes from the rest of our pockets and now our unborn grandkids.

As for you wanting to help others, that is very commendable, but if the State economy goes down the tubes, there isn't enough people here paying taxes or able to, to keep the system afloat. Our state has made one social program after another. Look at Calif., they have just about reached the edge of the bluff on their social programs and will require a bail out from the Feds, whom are already spending money like drunken sailors on a three day pass.... course that isn't fair to berate drunken sailors, I use to be one....

Even the Feds have printed so much money, at some point S**t is going to hit the fan and inflation will be like is was in Russia and other countries, took a wheel barrel of money to buy one loaf of bread. There is nothing but good faith backing the US dollar, when the gold standard left in the 1970's, that made our money pretty much worthless but for what someone thought it was worth to trade with. When we go down hill, it will be a quick ride.

It is not easy to get help, there are program lifetime limits, waiting lists, etc. Have you ever applied for assistance? Back when Clinton was president, most federal aid programs were reformed and restricted and for example, to get a monthly check, the recipient must either look for work, or volunteer for free at a government office. You may hear that it is easy, but the reality is different. Just like Moose Whisperer said, you can't believe everything you read or hear. I don't qualify for medical assistance even though my rent is the same as my income. I've got quite a few medical bills with my broken leg, including an ambulance bill. I certainly didn't plan or expect to injure myself.
