Who wins? Alabama enters 11-0 and ranked #2. Auburn enters 7-4, fresh off a bye week but also fresh off an uninspiring loss to Georgia. Alabama has looked strong this year. Auburn looks improved from 2008, but still not quite there. Auburn won 6 straight Iron Bowls this decade before losing last year. Now it is Alabama's turn to ride the wave of prosperity. Both schools will be bringing in strong recruiting classes next year.

I say Auburn in an upset: 27-21

I think the forces of Goodness and Light have a puncher's chance against the overrated stump-necked, gap-toothed, knuckled-dragging, polyester-wearing, stoop-gait, slack-jawed, cousin-kissing, biscuit-eating, backwoods lackwits, otherwise known as the Crimson Turds. I'll call it one heck of an upset, along the lines of 2000. Auburn, 37-20. Hey, stranger things have happened.

In the "Iron Bowl" (a name I detest because it is no longer played in Birmingham), you NEVER count on a sure win by either side. That game is always all-bets-off.

I love the rivalry, because it sharpens both teams.

My vote: Alabama, as always. Roll Tide!

Yeah, have to give props to Bama for that final winning drive. Meanwhile we decided to waste the final 1:24 instead of trying to score. I'm optimistic about the Auburn program moving forward though, even if today's finish sucked. I'll just be glad when we let our redshirt fresh start throwing next year. Chris Todd drives me nuts.

If only the score had been reversed in today's game, I'd be much happier about being close.
