Sharing that I found a nice lake area in Alabama - Lake Martin, AL. The southside of the lake is the best whether it be Russell Crossroads or on the east side by Chimney Rock.

Moved here a year ago from Sarasota Florida. There is an opportunity here as many are moving from around the country, but I would like to see businesses from areas I enjoy visiting, California, Colorado, Florida, etc so I'm sharing this beautiful lake with you all.

The prices are amazing in my opinion to get right on the water, homes are beautiful and the people are kind.

zip codes 35010 and 36853

Hope someone is happy to see this and brings Pilates, High End Barber, more Healthy Dining and great vibes.

Clearly, you have not yet fully experienced the charm and down-home atmosphere of Dollar General.

LOL. Sounds like someone owns real estate around this lake, or will gain to profit somehow.

Why spoil an unpopulated treasure?

Out-of-staters sometimes want to drag parts of what they ran away from with them. Then once it is spoiled, they move again.

Agreed. Pilates in rural Alabama...lol. Please, stop. Some of us have moved to rural areas to get away from things like this. My small town has recently become inundated by yoga studios and holistic wellness centers where there used to be dive bars and feed stores to serve the locals. Do not like.

Plenty of that already in the area. Please let's preserve bait shops, pawn shops and gun stores.

Lake Martin is very beautiful - one of Alabama's nicest environments. Nothing wrong with folks wanting to bring in more amenities. Sometimes local "charm" needs to be spruced up a bit.
