Hello!

Were traveling down to Orange Beach the second half of Sept. It's my first time visiting!

This is our first time traveling since February. Were a bit nervous about the virus still so we plan to be cautious. We haven't been eating inside restaurants where we live yet, only doing take out. Wed like to do the same while on vacation. What restaurants in the area offer good take out? Where have you ordered from?

I know were missing part of the experience by not dining in, but its still nice to support the businesses. This plan is a compromise and allows us to get a change of scenery within our comfort zone.

Thanks in advance!

For a couple of somewhat upscale places, try Louisiana Lagniappe and The Cobalt. Never had a bad meal at either of them.

It's been my experience that with the upper end eats, they take extra care packaging and keeping food fresh and warm as possible for take out.

Also, consider Playa, Fisher’s and Voyagers. All good with takeout.

Based on my stepdaughter's recent experience, please order *well* in advance of when you plan to eat. She told me they waited hours for takeout and delivery meals and decided just to give up and go home early since they were basically stuck eating out of their condo refrigerator, especially since they had their babies with them. Also, she had a lot of problems getting through to the restaurants by phone to place orders.

I hope it has gotten better, this was a few months ago.
