Up in NY we have several Indian Reservations that sell not only national brands but their own brands that we can buy without paying the NY State sales tax. Currently their brand sells for around $20 a carton. Are there Indian reservations in Alabama that sell their own or where do most people buy their cigarettes and how much is a carton on average?

Thank you!

There is a smoke shop next to Wind Creek casino, but I have no idea what they cost since I don't smoke. Supposedly it's tax free.

Thank you for that info - I'll check it out when we visit in August!

Not sure about Indian reservations, but my friend, who is a smoker, buys his cigs at Murphy's (the gas / convenience store place). He says that they are about the least expensive around.

Nope. Not tax free. It's generally the cheapest place in Atmore to buy tobacco, but you still pay the taxes.

Oh okay, I wasn't positive about that part, but I know a lot of people around here go there to buy their cigs.

Back in the "old days" before the casino was built, they had a special room inside the old Bingo Palace where people would go buy their cartons.
