If you live in Mobile, where do you catch an international flight? I am kinda assuming you drive the 3 hours to Birmingham or is there someplace closer?

If you live in Dothan, where do you catch an international flight?

is money a concern?

From where I live it is way cheaper flying to Atlanta than any other places.

It may (or may not) be the same for you.

For international flights, depending on where you are going the closes I would think would be New Orleans or Atlanta.

In Mobile ,New Orleans which is a 1 1/2 drive from Mobile would be your best bet.

I fly often to Italy (yearly) and have found Mobile to be close to the same in price. There may be $40 difference between the competition such as New Orleans, Pensacola. Mobile will have good connections to Atlanta through Delta and some others. I usually go with Delta or Continental(then KLM). Yes, Atlanta is going to be a lot cheaper but I don't want to drive for 4.5 hours to save $200-$100.

However, flights within the US- there seems to be a big difference because people complain about Mobile's pricing all the time.

A lot of people fly out of Gulfport when they do domestic or Pensacola.

We had bad experiences with New Orleans(almost missing flights due to NOPD's really bad traffic control after wrecks on that highway leading to the airport) before Katrina. Haven't been back to that airport since.
