When is the data on race and ancestries modified on City-Data.com?
I notice that population estimates are as recent as 2008. However, the data on race and ancestries is still from the 2000 Census; along with other data. When will it be modified to recent estimates?

If I am not mistaken, CD goes by the Federal Census and those are taken every ten years...so, if this is the case, the information may be updated when the census is published in January

Default What is the latest data?

What is the latest, accurate census data available? I often seen 2008 and 2009 data in news reports but not sure the accuracy and sometimes not even the source.

I'll attempt to clarify

census is taken every ten years
it is being taken now, in 2010
2010-10=2000

Therefore, the latest census information available was for the year 2000.
