Has anyone else had trouble with slow loading on this site over the past few days? I haven't noticed any slowdown on other sites that i frequent.

No....not really.

Only occasionally has it seemed slow, but this was at 1-2 AM PST, so I've thought that perhaps some software maintenance or tweaking was occurring.

Yeah, it has been slow for me also! Sometimes when I click on "Subscribed Forums" all it shows is the top of the page and not any of the threads......pretty aggravating ...I always have to be clicking the refresh button on my computer......is it the same with you?

It may have to do with the amount of tabs I have open.....how many tabs do you have open?

Oh I usually have just one or two pages open as I'm not into the multi-tasking thing, particularly.

And only occasionally do I use the refresh command.

You know how we each seem to go from thread to thread in Games? (Lol, I lurf the games...) Well I don't leave all separate threads open all the time; I just have it set that what ever thread I comment in, I will be subscribed to that thread, not forum. So after commenting in a game, I just click on Settings and it takes me back to the list of new posts for my subscribed threads, and choose the next game to play.

LOL, does this make sense? It's hard to describe in writing.

But what I've tried to describe works well for me, and esp. because of the 60 second requirement. So there's really no need, IMHO, to have all those threads open at once.

Yes, that does make sense. And I do love the games also . Usually, if I am lurking in Weather or the General U.S forum, I will have a tab open for Weather and a tab open for the Games Forum. Since I am just lurking and not posting the 60-second rule does not bother me. .

Right now, I have 5 tabs open. C-D has REALLY improved my skills in multi-tasking and typing!

I've had some speed issues this evening, but then again I was also doing some intense research work for a thread of mine with multiple browser windows open simultaneously.
