Members have never been able to delete entire threads. You can delete a post you made for the first 90 minutes after submitting it, but only if it is not the first post of a thread.

I should also add that you can always use the "Report this post" button for a thread you started to ask that it be deleted. As long as you have a compelling reason for deleting it, AND as long as there are not too many replies posted, usually the Mod for the forum will be willing to delete it for you.

Edit your post - erase the whole thing and then type "Deleted by Pikantari", then report it.

That way noting is sitting out there for all to read, waiting for the Mod to take care of it

You've gotten many good answers. I'd also suggest that you PM the local moderator for the forum are you posted on and let them know that you want it deleted.

If you report the post, the local mod is already notified, no reason to double their workload with a matching DM.

Not to mention if we are on vacation and we have someone watching our forums/reported posts. The DM's are not seen until we log back in.

Many forums have more than one moderator. Some forums are "team moderated". If you have a legitimate complaint regarding a post or want to alert the appropriate moderator, just click on the Report Posts icon. Please make it clear what the issue is. Leaving only comment like makes me ...
