Negative rep shouldnt be allowed in a forum that
has 'controversies' in the title......I have a few that
the person who of course did not sign their name
leaves a generic 'you are an idiot' type comment.
This thread should be moved to the Administration Forum. Any way’s, Negative rep is supposed to be used for Spam, off topic, flames/personal attacks, purposely-misleading information or if the post is inappropriate. Not because you don’t like the person or what they have to say. Also if the post is especially in the wrong, click on the icon to report it to a senior mod/admin.
We've had people explain when they should be given, but not answer the OP's question of how they are given.
I personally already understood when they should be given (and would do so appropriately), but like the OP would also like to know how they're given.
I know they exist because I've seen somebody with a reputation of less than 10.
To give either positive or negative reputation, you need to click on the icon in the top right corner of the person in question's post. Then just follow the instructions.
Ah, interesting. So to subtract reputation you first click on "add reputation". I guess that's where I was hung up. Thanks! For that, I will add to your reputation.

I guess it's not that inventive. After all, if you're using Windows, you also need to click "Start" first if you want to shut down your system.
