Advocates for Add the Words legislation to 'wrap' the Idaho Capitol on Friday
Add the Words advocates seeking anti-discrimination protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Idahoans will bring back a "Wrap the Capitol" march and rally this Friday, pressing their cause at the Statehouse a month after the House State Affairs Committee voted them down.
The rally to surround the Capitol is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday, the advocacy group said on its Facebook page.
"We will be here until our legislators agree with the 67 percent of Idahoans who support Add the Words Idaho and sign it into law!" the group said. It referenced a recent poll on the subject by Idaho Politics Weekly, an online news blog.
