Urban Areas are by contiguously developed land and density, so hills or undeveloped land that divide one part of a metro from another most likely means they will be separate urban areas.

I suspected my city is included in the #7 urban area. It wasn't the easiest thing to look up, but I found the map at the data.census.gov site, and indeed it is.

Mine is #24, and #2 of the 4 in Texas.

I counted how many Montclair listed....90.

Then I counted how many of the areas I have been to....80.

I cut off at $125,000, LA was just shy...

Here are all CA Urban Areas included in the 1-year estimate for 2022.

I noticed that I accidentally left out Santa Clarita in the other list---it is here at $150k, which is very significant.

Where's phoenix and Vegas?
Not in CA, but they're sister communities.
I'm guessing 120k for phoenix and 115k for Vegas.

Salinas and Madera were the only big surprises to me. Eek.
Everything else was pretty much as expected.
Great list, op. Thanks.
