Gonna do this in a couple months......anybody ever took this ride in a motorcycle/car? What advice or tips do you have? Thinking of making all of the cool stops, grand cayon, etc. Staying in Vegas a couple days and then hitting California.....and checking out all the fly spots....LA-SF and all in between....wanna hit the Porsche experience center/san diego zoo safari/tesla motor tour......and i'm working on getting a tour of space x. gonna have about 2-2.5 weeks to do all of this......

In two months the desert will have a high of near 100. Plan on getting through Vegas and the CA desert at night or early morning. It could possibly be even hotter.

While a x-country trip in an open wheeled three wheeler sounds fantastic, I'm betting mother nature will throw a few curve balls at you. You're bound to encounter some rain over a 2.5 week trip spanning 2000+ miles. Have you driven the Slingshot in the rain yet? Aside from sitting in a puddle I can imagine that rear wheel will be a bish driving through wet 6%+ grade mountain passes?

If you plan to do the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and want to stay within the National Park (which is worth doing), make your hotel reservations now. The park lodges and campgrounds fill up months ahead of time in the summer.
Also, if you can, see if you can fit Zion National Park in Utah into your intinerary. I'd cut a day out of Las Vegas to hike in Zion, given the choice. But, all of the other national parks in Utah are fantastic too and there are a ton of scenic drives in Southern Utah. While everyone should see the Grand Canyon at least once, the National Parks in Utah kind of steal the show from GC once you've seen them, in my opinion. While you probably don't have time to fit all of the Utah National Parks in, at least try to get to Zion as it will whet your appetite for the others.
