Two people are living in the home. Electricty is around $130-$150 and gas is around $30-$50 a month. We have pg&e. Was wondering, is this high for two people?

What is your average electricty/gas bill? I want to compare so I would not feel so bad about paying so much.

To answer your question, that does sound high, unless there is a pool, or other high-draw appliance involved.

Electric $100 (3 computers, 3 HDTV's/Fios, boat/RV charger continuous)
Gas: $15/mo summer, $50/mo winter
close to beach so no A/C needed

You should ask the people in the same region you live in. Climate and temperatures vary widely throughout California. People in Sacramento are going to spend a lot more heating their homes during the chilly December and January nights than people in Los Angeles. People in Fresno spend a lot more to cool their homes in July than people in Oakland.

I live in the middle of nowhere. We have 4 kids, so there is always a light on and/or a tv/computer, etc. The winter temps drop to 0 at night on a regular basis in the winter. We don't have natural gas, our town installed it, but we haven't converted to it yet. Anyway, we have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home and we spend about $250-$300 a month in the winter. Its about $225 in the summer and we use AC here and there. We also spend $300 a year on firewood. 2 cords heat our home from November through April, otherwise our electric bill would be sky high.

1200 sq ft house, 5-15 dollars for PG&E gas, 50-100 for TID elec. Very stigny with A/C in the summer, that can get the price out of control.......

I live in the Sacramento Valley in a 3/2 1200 sq ft home with central heat/air. Two people. I average about $70 a month for both gas and electric with PG&E. Its never topped $100 a month in the two summers I've owned it and I use the A/C all I want. Most energy efficient place I've lived in.
