Lodi Wine & Visitor Center

Nestled in the northern California wine country, the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center offers an array of wine-tasting options on the grounds of the Wine & Roses Hotel, Restaurant & Spa.

The tastings in the visitor center include wines from over 80 wineries located in the Lodi region. Early explorers in the area recognized the lush growing conditions in and around Lodi. Trappers even named one small stream "Wine Creek" (later renamed Calaveras River) for its abundant wild grapevines. In the 1880's when other crops struggled, two grape varieties Zinfandel and Tokay excelled beyond the others. Since the turn of the century, the wine business has flourished in the Lodi region, including during Prohibition.

Eight wines are served each day; the wines are rotated each week. In addition, an educational demonstration on grape growing occurs daily. Located at 2545 W. Turner Road, Lodi, CA, the Lodi Wine & Visitors Center opens daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. A gift shop is also located on the premises.

The Lodi Wine & Visitor Center is located 30 minutes south of Sacramento and 90 minutes east of San Francisco. Other nearby attractions available include Lodi Lake, Thomas A. Peterson Park, Woodbridge Regional Park, Lodi BMX Jumps, and World of Wonders Science Museum.
