Overall good inspection after breakfast complete. Good food temperatures, and storage. Some additional comments made, milk placed in carton in tabletop refrigerator for customer use then returned to kitchen. Ensure cartons sanitized after taking from breakfast area and before returning to main refrigerator. Employee health reviewed - new flyer will be sent. Good understanding of steps to take for diagnosis or close contact with reportable diseases, diseases not remembered and reviewed. Coffee pots sometimes cleaned in manager apartment dishmachine - please discontinue and wash, rinse, sanitize in 3 vat sink. Cereal not labeled with name on dispensing containers, corrected during inspection.
  • Critical: Employee Health* (corrected on site)
    Observation: All parts of employee health policy not known.
    Correction: Policy reviewed, new flyer will be sent.
  • Good Repair and Calibration of Thermometers
    Observation: Food thermometer 100 F in refrigerator and 30's at room temperature. Thermometer not able to be calibrated.
    Correction: Replace with food thermometer that is in calibration or can be calibrated.
  • Equipment, Utensils, Linens, and Single-Service and Single-Use Articles (corrected on site)
    Observation: Unwrapped single service stir straws in open container, observed unprotected from contamination.
    Correction: Wrapped stir straws present and replaced unwrapped straws.

Overall very good. Noted good food temperatures, clean well organized facility with bleach present for sanitizing solution, tongs present to prevent bare hand contact. Discussed employee health, flyer left. Noted worker wearing gloves for several tasks, but not handling food. Suggested wearing gloves only when needed for food then discarding.
  • Food Storage Containers - Identified with Common Name of Food
    Observation: Breakfast cereal in dispensing containers do not identify breakfast.
    Correction: Label cereal in containers with name of cereal - using a copy of box suggested as major allergen label will already be present. If box label not used, suggest adding distinct label listing major allergens present in cereal.
  • Hand Drying Provision
    Observation: Handwashing sink in small bathroom just off of breakfast 3 vat sink area with no means to dry hands. For today, hand towel used.
    Correction: Provide paper towels for drying hands.
