| Complaint allegation: Two complainants felt ill after attending a tent event. The tent event revolved around the Middleburg Film Festival. Approximately 300 people were served after the movie. All food was stored in the kitchen in coolers and/or warming boxes. The food was taken out to the tent by staff and replenished as needed. The serving time was approximately 90 minutes. All food left at the end of the event was discarded. The manager stated no employees were sick with gastrointestinal illness during the event. Salamander Resort has not received any complaints from guests who attended the tent event. No employees appeared to be ill during the inspection. | The purpose of today's visit is to conduct a pre-opening inspection of the kitchen so that staff can start training. The lights have been added to the ceiling on each side of the support column by the soup station. The light has been added to the walk in freezer in the bakery kitchen. The floor has been grouted around the pipes passing through the floor to the prep coolers by the turbo chef oven. The stainless steel cover around the fire suppression drop line next to the hood system is being done at time of inspection. The kitchen is approved for health department permit once the permit and fee has been paid and the building has received the occupancy permit. The staff can start training in the kitchen once the fire Marshall has signed off on the hood system. There is fire exits that are open and easily accessible at this time.
