Observation: Employees or applicants are not aware of the reporting procedures concerning information about their health as they relate to the symptoms caused by illness, infection, or other source that is associated with an acute gastrointestinal illness or a lesion.
Correction: Have the license holder require employees or applicants report to the person in charge if they are experiencing the following symptoms or conditions: (1) diarrhea, fever, vomiting, jaundice, or sore throat with fever. (2) A lesion containing pus such as a boil or infected wound that is open or draining and is on the hands or wrists, unless an impermeable cover such as a finger cot or stall protects the lesion and a single-use glove is worn over by an impermeable cover or on other parts of the body, unless the lesions covered by a dry durable, tight-fitting bandage. Observation: Wiping cloths improperly used.
Correction: Ensure cloths used for wiping food spills are not used for any other purpose.
- Equipment and Utensils - Multiuse, Characteristics (corrected on site)
Observation: Lexane containers observed to be repaired with metal staples.
Correction: Repair or replace the containers to permit easy cleaning and prevent the migration of deleterious substances, or transference of colors, odors, or tastes to food. Containers were discareded during the inspection.
- Sanitizing Solutions, Testing Devices
Observation: There is no properly working test kit provided in the facility for monitoring the concentration of the chemical sanitizing solutions.
Correction: Obtain a chlorine test kit so that employees can accurately monitor the concentration of the sanitizing solutions and maintain them at a safe and effective level. Correct within 10 days.
- Plumbing System Maintained in Good Repair
Observation: Plumbing connections under the hand sink are leaking.
Correction: Plumbing systems and components shall be maintained in good repair. Please provide written evidence of correction to the Montgomery Health Department within 10 days.
- Refuse - Maintaining Refuse Areas and Enclosures
Observation: Trash and litter were observed adjacent to the refuse container outside the facility.
Correction: The refuse container storage area and grounds adjacent to the container are to be maintained clean and sanitary. Please correct today.
- Physical Facilities in Good Repair
Observation: Walk-in freezer door observed broken with freezing thawing action further breaking the door frame preventing the door from closing.
Correction: Maintain physical facilities in good repair. Poor repair and maintenance compromises the functionality of the physical facilities. Please provide written documentation of correction to the Montgomery Health Department within 30 days.
