Enrollment: 35 children aged 2-5yrs, and 25 infants. Grayson Co public water, private septic system. Serving breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, opening at 6:30am. Facility is clean, organized. All meats are prepared from fully-cooked frozen, such as chicken nuggets and burgers. Menu is simple and low-risk, with food only rarely saved for reheating the next day. Only egg used in facility is pasteurized liquid egg product. Juices and milks are pasteurized commercial products. Breakfast usually consists of dry grain products, such as poptarts and ceareal. Lunch is burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, canned vegetables and fruits, and boxed mac & cheese. Kitchen facility is also the church kitchen. Foods for the childcare center are separated from the church supplies, with a separate refrigerator. Restrooms and baby care rooms were also inspected and found to be in well-maintained condition.

Observation: Unnecessary poisonous or toxic materials found in the food establishment. Three cans of spray insecticide were present in the kitchen cabinet under the sinks.
Correction: Remove unnecessary poisonous or toxic materials. Insecticide was removed from building at inspection. May have been brought in by a church member who is not involved in the childcare operation, and unaware of the restriction on pesticides.

This facility currently tends to approx. 30 children, keeping them from 6am-5:30pm. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are served. All foods are pre-cooked frozen foods that are heated to serve. Most of the dishes are single service disposables. The rest of the dishes are washed first through a standard household dishwasher, then sanitized manually in a sink. Facility is well-run, clean, and organized. Staff are knowledgeable, trained, and responsive.
