New ceiling tiles have been installed. Kitchen walls have been cleaned. A new refrigerator will be picked up today to replace unit in 2 year old room. A loose lining has been put down on the existing cabinets. Keep these clean. This to be considered a temporary fix. Surface of cabinets is still not smooth and cleanable. Consider a more permanent material. (Fiberglass reinforced panels are considered an appropriate alternative) Toilet stall divider in the boy's restroom is beginning to rust. Finish to be smooth and cleanable. Keep raw eggs stored on bottom shelf of refrigerator. PIC uses these for baked goods. Permit issued.

    Observation: Floor tiles beside freezer are missing. Cove tiles are missing in the restroom.
    Correction: Maintain physical facilities in good repair. Poor repair and maintenance compromises the functionality of the physical facilities. Both floor tiles and cove tiles have been purchased and PIC is awaiting installation.

    Correction: Clean.

    Observation: Working container of cleaner was not properly labeled.
    Correction: Working containers of toxic items are to be properly labeled with contents. Identification of these containers with the common name of the material helps prevent the dangerous misuse of the contents. PIC discarded bottle.

Next inspection will be a routine inspection. All surfaces to be smooth and cleanable including floors, walls and ceilings. Some ceiling panels are in poor shape. Install smooth faced vinyl panels. Contact paper is not permitted in shelves or in drawers. Coving in restrooms to be in good repair. Find thermometers for both refrigerators. Floor tiles around freezer are in poor repair and dirty.

    Observation: Stroganoff is being saved for school age children. It was 109 F.
    Correction: Maintain 135 F. PIC is reheating to 165 F and then holding at 135 F for later feeding. I suggest you serve food to children in the day care from a smaller pan leaving the food for school agers in the oven. Therefore there is less of a chance for the food temperature to be abused.

    Observation: Lower can shelves, exterior of cabinets,inside both ovens, inside of cabinets found dirty. Cabinet under 3-c sink found dirty.

    Observation: Wall edges an corners of floor are dirty. Some ceiling panels are stained. Wall by trash can and electrical panels found soiled. Door to storeroom is dirty.
