Description: A celebrity chef cook-off event usually held in very early March benefits the musical theater group called Kids Who Care. The venues in recent years have included the Fort Worth Club and the Fort Worth Stockyards. Cooking teams consist of local chefs paired with local celebrities, with the twosomes whipping up something magical from a box of mystery ingredients. They have 45 minutes to do so over a camp stove with a tabletop, cutting board, and a few pieces of cookware as their only tools. Attendees watch the cooking, taste the competitive dishes, and drink wine, as well as watch the kids perform. Tickets are moderately priced.
