Description: Edmond has 26 parks and you can find a list of them on the city’s Web site, www.edmondok.com/parks/cityparks. This Web site provides information about what each park has to offer. While all the parks are nice and clean, the two listed below are Edmond’s premier parks.

3. Hafer Park

Description: Hafer Park is located between 2nd and 15th Streets off the east side of Bryant. Built in 1979, it has a 6.5-miles trail. It runs along the far eastern side of the park and hooks up with Fink Park downtown. The park itself covers 121 acres and is quite heavily wooded. There are playgrounds, a volleyball court, an exercise station, a stage, restrooms, picnic tables, drinking fountains, and a kids fishing pond where several families of ducks hang out. To the north is an athletic complex for baseball and softball games. This park is used heavily, so be prepared to wait for facilities on weekends and holidays. There is plenty of parking.

4. Mitch Park

Description: Located on the northeast corner of West Covell Road and North Santa Fe, this 280-acre park has something for everyone. There are 5 miles of trails, playgrounds, a disc golf course, basketball courts, an exercise station, a volleyball court, a skate park, picnic tables, restrooms, an amphitheater, and an athletic complex for baseball and softball. There aren’t many trees at the front of the park, but is fairly wooded toward the back along the trail. Use caution when on the trail as some areas are quite secluded. Plenty of parking is available.
