    Observation: Soap was not provided at the hand washing lavatory in the hand sink.
    Correction: Hand soap must be provided at all hand washing lavatories to encourage proper hand washing. Hand cleanser must always be present to aid in reducing microorganisms and particulate matter found on hands.

Shadow/enforcement visit with Nicholas Minter and carol Puckett.
It was discovered on Nicks last inspection that this facility did not have a hand sink. Owner insists that it never had one and two EHSs insist that they washed their hands in a hand sink at that establishment. Plan review letter from 2006 indicates hand sink required, there is a hand sink on the plans, inspection from 2011 indicate handwashing sign needed for hand sink. Operator agreed to put hand sink in. Schedule to be installed in two weeks.

    Observation: Employees observed handling ready-to-eat (RTE) food with their bare hands. making soft serve sundaes.
    Correction: Provide suitable utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves, or dispensing equipment to handle RTE food to prevent contamination from hands.
  • Critical: Equipment and Utensils - Before Use After Cleaning*
    Observation: The food-contact surfaces of the following equipment were not observed sanitized: wooden paddle and metal scoops.
    Correction: After cleaning and rinsing of the food-contact surface, the surface shall be effectively sanitized before coming in contact with food and before use.
