Facility undergoing renovation in front service area when the facility is closed (between 8:30 pm to 4:30 am)
  • Toilet Room Receptacle Covered
    Observation: There is no covered refuse container for the disposal of feminine napkins in the any restrooms.
    Correction: Install a covered refuse container for the disposal of feminine napkins in the ladies room stall.
10/09/2015Routine
During inspection the dishmachine was ran >15 times before the required temperature for the wash and rinse was reached. Ensure employees monitor the temperature when washing and sanitizing dishes. It was suggested to manager to increase the hot water heater from approximately 145 degrees to 160 degrees to off set the water temperature coming into the building during the cold months. All violations corrected or discussed for correction during the inspection.
  • Equipment, Utensils, Linens, and Single-Service and Single-Use Articles
    Observation: Single service items were found stored on the floor.
    Correction: Store all food contact equipment and single service items in a clean, dry location where not exposed to splash, dust or other contamination at least 6 inches above the floor.

Correct the above item within 90 days.
Note: The drain line serving the dish machine is directly connected to the drain line for the sanitize basin of the three compartment sink. Both times the dishmachine was run during the inspection water was ejected from the sanitize basin drain, up through the sink and onto the sanitize drain board. Please resolve this within 90 days (see 12 VAC 5-421-2520 Backflow prevention -> regs p. 112).
  • Warewashing - Mechanical Warewashing Equipment, Sanitization Pressure
    Observation: The pressure during the sanitizing rinse is too high - 27 psi.
    Correction: Adjust the machine as needed to provide 20 +/- 5 psi during the sanitizing rinse as indicated on the data plate.
