| Facility had the pest control company (Copesan) come in and treat the space on 11/2/15. Some fly and fruit fly still noted today. Flies present in customer area and fruit flies at the sink where pitchers are rinsed. Area appears to stay wet, with the sprayer in the sink being left on due to pretty consistent use. Additional measures still need to be taken to control flying insects. Also noticed multiple shelves of breakfast sandwiches being thawed at room temperature in the rear kitchen area. Thawing is NOT permitted to take place outside of refrigeration, unless it is under cool running water. PLEASE DISCONTINUE THIS PRACTICE IMMEDIATELY. Some sandwiches were actually warm to the touch. The PIC stated that sandwiches are currently taken from the freezer and thawed at room temperature for one hour prior to placing them under refrigeration. Otherwise, customers have complained of being served cold sandwiches. The PIC moved the sandwiches to refrigeration as soon as the inspector said something. Consider increasing the amount of time sandwiches are heated in the oven to erase the need for thawing of product.
