  • Utensils - In-Use - Between-Use Storage (corrected on site)
    Observation: The ice scoop, associated with the big ice machine, was being stored directly on top of the machine.
    Correction: The ice scoop needs to be stored in a smooth,easily cleanable container, not directly on the ice machine surface. The ice machine surface is not considered easily cleanable, above the entrance door to the ice bin. This violation was immediately corrected by the establishment management.

No food temperature problems were observed. Dishwashing facilities were being maintained properly.
  • Jewelry - Prohibition (corrected on site) (repeated violation)
    Observation: An employee was observed wearing a ring with a stone in it while preparing coffee beverages.
    Correction: The only ring that we allow to be worn on the fingers, while preparing coffees (or any other food) is one plain wedding band-no rings with stones. (This is true, even if disposable gloves are worn.) This violation was immediately corrected by the establishment management.
  • Handwashing - Using a Handwashing Lavatory - No Other Purpose (corrected on site)
    Observation: The handwashing sink, in the "back kitchen room" was partially blocked by off by dishes/utensils storage racks, at the time of the inspection.
    Correction: All handwashing sinks must be unobstructed, and easily available for use, at all times. Handwashing sinks may be used for nothing other than handwashing. We need to do everything possible to encourage frquent,and whenever necessary, handwashing. This violation was immediately corrected by the establishment management.
