No food temperature problems were observed.
  • Critical: Backflow Prevention, Air Gap* (repeated violation)
    Observation: The head of the sprayer unit extends down into a basin of the three-compartment (dishwashing) sink, when hanging freely This is a "backflow prevention" issue. The metal casing of the sprayer hose is broken. The hose needs to be replaced.
    Correction: We require that there be an air gap at least one inch wide, between the bottom of the sprayer head, and the top 'lip" of the steel sink basins table, below. "Back-flow prevention" violations are considered to be "critical violations," and need to be corrected as soon as possible. The hose needs to be replaced, with a shorter hose, as soon as possible.
  • Handwashing - Using a Handwashing Lavatory - No Other Purpose
    Observation: At one of the three kitchen hanwashing sinks there was an electric cord running across the faucet, and in contact hot and cold water handles. This was observed at handwashing sink nearest to the "managers computer station."
    Correction: Handwashing sinks must all be unobstructed, used for no other purpose and easily available for use at all times. An electric cord may not be in the sink basins or below the sink basin because of the risk of electric shock associated with water on the floor. We suggest that, if you must use this electric cord, that it be mounted on the wall, high above the handwashing sink area, so as not to interfere in any way with easy handwashing sink availablility.

    Observation: The sprayer head, associated with the sprayer unit, at the three compartment (dishwashing) sink, is extending below the "top lip" of the sink table top, when hanging freely.
    Correction: We require that there be an air gap at least 1 inch wide, between the bottom of the sprayer head, and the highest point of the sink table top below the sprayer. The rinse arm associated with the sprayer head needs to be shortened. This "back-flow prevention" issue needs to be corrected as soon as possible.
